The study of landscapes is, as all of you well know, difficult in its scope. It takes a life-long passion and pursuit to define your vision. This is if you have the fortune to be able to live in a locale that is worthy of such time and effort, or have the resources to bring yourself to such a place. Eric has been fortunate enough to have both such circumstances at his disposal. But landscapes are not entirely his sole interest.
As with the image above, Eric has taken the study of the human form and woven into the fabric of his landscapes. This well crafted, and tasteful approach, manages to make a strong emotional link between both subjects. We feel the relationship between the two forms and how each plays off each other to enhance the entire frame.
Nudes, if not handled with skill, can border on questionable subject matter, viewed only by mature eyes. But in his images, Eric heightens the beauty of the female form and allows us to look beyond the obvious to see how truly impressive such relationships can be for the viewer.
