The series “In-Between Worlds” is a visually stunning gallery from talented photographer Meryl McMaster. The investigation, and interpretation, of the dual paths aboriginal people have to walk in their lifetime is fascinating to observe.
In the series, we are presented with colorful, representational subjects who appear to dwell on the edge of reality. They appear to be of this world, tied to reality, but the spiritual ties these subjects have to their supernatural origins is ever-present. It is as if Meryl has been able to capture the battle between these two psyches and we are there to witness this struggle.
